Lumbini-Vhiwan-Kathmandu Tour

Day 01: Katmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. A traditional warm welcome with garlands by our airport representative. Briefing about the package in the hotel.O/N hotel. 

Day 02: Kathmandu/ Nagarkot
After breakfast, we begin our half day sight seeing tour of Pashupatinath temple and Boudhanath iStupa. We then drive on to Bhaktapur Durbar Square the medieval city of devotees and the best preserved of all the old cities of Kathmandu Valley. We then drive to our resort in Nagarkot. We have Himalayan sunset views and spend the night in the resort.

Day 03: Nagarkot
After sunrise & breakfast, drive to trek starting point. We start our 1 & ½ hour trek (slow hiking & walking) to Changu Narayan Temple, believed to be the oldest temple of Nepal. Sightseeing at Changu Narayan temple, stautes, artifacts, idols, other temples, etc with in the premises. After completion board our waiting vehicle and drive to Dhulikhel. Transfer to hotel. Evening witness the sunset amidst the Himalayan range. Overnight in Nagarkot.

Day 04: Panuti
Morning wake up to witness the sunrise and then drive to Panauti, a complete Newari town hundreds of years old. Sightseeing tour of temples, market places, etc in Panauti. Afternoon, drive back to Kathmandu and go for half day valley sight seeing tour with a visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, the place of the Malla and then the Shah kings of Nepal. Places of interest here are the Kasthamandap, a medieval rest said to give Kathmandu its name, Kumari Temple, abode of the virgin goddess. From here we visit Swoyambhunath stupa on top of the hill overlooking Kathmandu valley. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 05: Kathmandu / Pokhara
After breakfast, we drive to Pokhara through scenic mountain terrain and upon reaching Pokhara we relax in our hotel. The evening can be spend most enjoyably on the bank of the Phewa Lake which reflects the towering Fishtail Peak in its water or talking a stroll at the Lakeside. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 06: Pokhara
This picturesque town set on the laps of Annapurna Mountains is the staging area of all treks in this region. Today we visit the important sight seeing areas like Bindebasini temple, Devis Falls, Mahadev Cave, Mahendra Cave, Seti river Gorge and the market place. Boating on Fewa Lake is an optional you can enjoy. Overnight hotel.

Day 07: Pokhara/ Lumbini
After breakfast, drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha which has been revered as the place of holy pilgrimage. Listed as a World Heritage Site by Unesco, Lumbini is being developed with international support as an international Buddhist pilgrimage site and a symbol of world peace. On reaching Lumbini we check in our hotel and can take a walk to the Sacred Lumbini Garden where the Buddha was born converges on the Ashoka pillar, and the May Devi temple with a bas-relief depicting the Nativity. The serene, tree-shaded lawn is dotted with brick mounds, which are the remains of ancient stupas and monasteries. O/N hotel.

Day 08: Lumbini
Today we take a drive to Tilaurkot, 27km west of Lumbini. An important archaeological site, Tilaurkot evokes the ancient palace of King Suddodhan, Siddhartha Gautam's father, where the Buddha spent his formative years as a Shakya prince. The Kapilvastu Museum in Tilaurkot holds coins, pottery, jewelry and ornaments from 700 BC-400 AD. A must for archaeology and history buff. Overnight at hotel.

Day 09: Lumbini/ Chitwan
After breakfast, we are driven to Royal Chitwan National Park, our destination for wild viewing. We bring our safari activities almost immediately with a briefing, elephant ride, jungle walks, canoe ride and jeep ride in pursuit of myriad flora and fauna including the rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal Tigers. In the evening we have some cultural entertainment plus bonfire during winter.

Day 10: Chitwan
Today we have full day jungle activities such as elephant ride, nature walk, elephant bathing, canoe ride, etc. Evening slide shows. Overnight at Resort. 

Day 11: Chitwan/ Kathmandu
Breakfast We drive back to Kathmandu and relax in our hotel. Evening can be used for shopping or souvenir hunting. Overnight hotel.

Day 12: Departure
We are free today until departure. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
