Myanmar Train Expedition
4 days/ 3 nights

Day 01: Mandalay / Lashio / Namtu
Depart Mandalay for Namtu via
Lashio by private coach . Upon arrival check in to the guesthouse. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight at Myanmar Mine Railways guest house.

Day 02: Namtu/ Bawtwin / Namtu

Breakfast at hotel and visit Loco shed at Namtu, observe engine No 13 starting up. Depart by narrow gauge to Tiger camp. Lunch at the camp and proceed to Bawtwin mining area by diesel engine. There is small electric loco at work to view at Tiger Camp. Return to Namtu by diesel. Dinner and overnight at guesthouse.

Day 03: Namtu / Lashio
Breakfast at hotel and depart by locomotive <approx 2 mile> to the old Japanese mill site. From here on diesel to Nammyo station where to observe the loco engine No 14 at her shunting demonstration. Lunch at Nammyo and diesel back to Nasaing where you will meet with your coach and proceed to
Lashio . Dinner and overnight in
Lashio.

Day 04: Lashio / Mandalay
Breakfast at hotel and depart for Mandalay to complete this unique experience. As an option you can also return to
Mandalay by schedule train through historic Gokehtaik viaduct. Enjoy activities such as people get on and off goods load and un loads at each village as train passes by slowly. It will be accelerating experience as your train passes on at historic Gokehtaik viaduct, built by British in 1902. Arrive Mandalay and transfer to hotel to complete this unique experience.

Kyaingetong Hilltribe Trek
7 days/ 6 nights

Day 01: Yangon/Heho / Kyaingetong
Arrival at
Kyaingetong airport and welcome by local tour guide and transfer to your hotel. After a brief fresh up continue sightseeing in Kyaingetong starts with Shan traditional lacquer-ware making process and a pottery village of Yangone to observe traditional pottery workshop. Visit Standing Buddha Image situates at the place where Kyaingetong was founded about one thousand years ago. Continue visit to R C.M church and sunset from the one tree hill Where a 245 year old Kanyinbyu tree stands alone in the hilltop. The tree was believe to have planted by king Alaungmintaya, the founder of third Myanmar empire. Dinner and overnight in Kyainhetong.

Day 02: Kyaingetong / Hochin / Kyaingetong

Morning visit to twice weekly water buffalo market situated on the left hand side of the road lead to
Taunggyi. At the market the buyers and sellers trade their animals just as the way they deal with their used car in Europe and North America. Continue by car <approx 50 min> and hike <approx 1½ hour> to "Ho Kyin" Akha village. Continue to Na Phi Phank village <approx 30 min> where Lahu and Akha tribes living together. Continue visit to Phata and Tang Ma Phai Akha villages before return to the car and continue visit Mong Zine Khun village to observe traditional Lahu black smith. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight in Kyaingetong.

Day 03: Kyaingetong/ Pintauk/ Kyaingetong

Depart by car (approx 1 hour) into the Pintauk area with a view to the plain rice fields looking like a huge green patchwork blanket. Visit near by Akha and Enn tribe villages, some are baptized, some still animists. The Enn tribe live on the higher slopes and possess distinctively different costumes and beliefs from the other tribes particularly interest with their black teeth. It will take about 4 hour to visit the villages around this area. Ideal lunch break at Pintauk waterfall and late afternoon return to
Kyaingtong. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight in Kyaingetong.

Day 04: Kyaingetong/ Wannyut /Kyaingetong
Depart by car <approx 2 hour> through Chinese border and a hike <approx ½ hour> to Wannyut Loi tribe village. The Loi prefer to live in a long houses where many families lives together under a same roof. Proceed to another Loi village of Wanseng
<approx 1 hour> through beautiful scenery yet not difficult hike. Return to Kyaingetong. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight in
Kyaingetong.

Day 05: Kyaingetong / Wanpauk / Kyaingetong
Depart by car <approx 45 min> to Wanpauk the home of the red-clothed silver Palaung tribe village. Observe their daily life and continue hike <approx 3 hour> to Kunpe 1 and Kunpe 2 Lahu Shi villages. Explore black and red Lahu tribal with their daily life. Return to
Kyaingetong. Lunch along the way, dinner and overnight in Kyaingetong.

Day 06 Kyaingetong/ Loimwe / Kyaingetong

Depart by car <approx 40 min> to Akha village situate 9 km north-east of
Kyaingetong. The costume of the ladies of this tribe is simple, a wide sleeved short black jacket over a sarong of horizontal red stripes on black. Proceed to Loimwe <approx 2 hour>, 33 km from Kyaingetong situates over 1600 meters above sea level. Enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding area and temperate climate. Loimwe, once station for the British with many colonial buildings and a Catholic Church. On the way to Loimwe you will have several stops to visit different villages such as Wanlun Shan villages, Holup Akha village, Nangcho Wa village and Panwai Lahu village etc. Visit around the town and return to Kyaingetong. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight in Kyaingetong
.

Day 07 Kyaingetong/ Heho
Morning visit to enchanting market, meeting point for many hill tribe people with their colorful costume dealing with local antique and old coins. If desire visit Wat Jomkham Pagoda, believe to have enshrined the Buddha's sacred hair relic. Transfer to
Kyaingtong airport for your
Heho bound flight. Upon arrival at Heho transfer to your next destination to complete this tribal experience.
