Day 1 : Arrival in Kuta Beach (Bali)
Your trip starts today with your arrival at Bali’s
famous Kuta
Beach, a short drive from Denpasar. No activities are planned for this day.
Day 2 : Kuta Beach (Bali)
/ Kuta (Lombok)
Rising early, we catch the ferry to Lombok.
On arrival we travel to Kuta, a quiet town set on a wide, sandy beach, with
rugged mountains forming a backdrop. Unlike the Kuta Beach
in Bali, this place is very quiet
and laid back, and is also great for swimming and surfing.
Day 3 : Kuta/Tetebatu
The morning is free to laze on the beach or check out the excellent surf
breaks before we take a bus, through a series of small villages, to our base
at the charming, unspoiled hill town of Tetebatu.
Day 4: Tetebatu
We travel by horse and cart to a local craft village before enjoying an
easy, but spectacular, trek through rice fields, passing a beautiful
waterfall. Our accommodation in Tetebatu is wonderful - traditional
bungalows with ‘million-dollar’ views.
Day 5 : Sapit
The impressive Mount Rinjani
dominates the tiny, relaxing
village of Sapit.
Again we stay in a lovely place, with beautiful views and the opportunity
for an afternoon walk that showcases the spectacular local landscape. A
nearby waterfall is an excellent spot for a refreshing dip.
Day 6 & 7:Sengigi
A drive along the beautiful north coast of Lombok,
past shimmering rice fields and the sparkling ocean, shows us just how
beautiful this tiny island is. Sengigi consists of a series of pretty bays
set along Lombok’s west coast. The
beaches here are magnificent and you’ll probably be the only ones on them!
The next day we hop on board a fishing boat and explore the amazing coral
reef near the Gili Islands.
There is plenty of time to explore the island’s beaches and snorkel amongst
schools of colourful fish.
Day 8 : Mataram /Denpasar
In the morning we transfer to the town of Mataram for our short flight back
to Denpasar, where our trip comes to an end.
