Thailand & Cambodia Cambodia. This charming, little known country is now opening up slowly to the outside world. Discover it's smiling people, serene landscapes and fascinating, if sometimes-tragic history on this 15 day adventure holiday. Travel overland from Cambodia to Thailand via Phnom Penh, Angkor Wat, a stunning Thai island and much more. Tour Highlights: Phnom Penh, 3 days Angkor Tour, Cambodian River Trip, Jungle Hike, Snorkeling on Coral Reefs; Flora and Fauna; Tropical Island, Elephant Riding and Local Food. Day 1: Departure from your Point of Origin. Day 2: Arrival in Phnom Penh via Bangkok, check-in to a downtown hotel near the City’s historic riverbank quarter. Afternoon visit to the spectacular Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda. Day 3: Day tour of the Cambodian capital including the 'Russian Market', 'Killing Fields' site and Tuol Sleng, the former Khmer Rouge prison, to see how Cambodians are coming to terms with their recent history. Day 4: Journey up-country by boat, to the provincial town of Siem Reap in Western Cambodia – our base for the next few days and ‘jumping off point’ for the nearby Angkor temples. Sunset visit to the ruins of Ta Prom Temple. Days 5 & 6: Angkor – an unforgettable two-day tour of this fabulous site, ruined palaces and jungle clad temples. Words can’t do it justice – see it for yourself. Day 7: Free morning in Siem Reap: explore the market, checkout the handicraft school or the unusual Landmines Museum and an afternoon trip to one of the more remote sites such as Banteay Srei. Day 8: Overland to Poipet on the Thai border and on to Thailand’s nearby Chantaburi Province. Day 9: Recover from Cambodian roads at a beautiful hill resort. Visit the local market and an afternoon hike to scenic Soi Dao Waterfall in nearby Soi Dao National Park. Day 10: On to the unspoiled tropical island of Koh Chang where we’ll stay in a beachside chalets. Day 11: Leisurely day on the island; make the most of the turquoise waters and coconut palm lined beaches, try out a beach massage or explore the island. Day 12: A boat tour through the surrounding archipelago including swimming and snorkelling on the colourful coral reefs. Day 13: Venture into the mountainous interior for an elephant ride and visit to the 'Ban Kwang Camp' - established in co-operation with the Asian Elephant Foundation. Afternoon at leisure.

Bangkok for your onward
